3 Steps To Hormone Balance
STEP 1: DETOXIFICATION
One of the simplest and most effective ways to rejuvenate your hormones and your health is to cleanse or detox. It’s a term you hear being thrown around quite often but what exactly is “detox”. Detox could mean many things on many different levels. Let’s start with a body detox. In today’s society our food has been tainted with chemicals such as artificial flavors, thickening agents, etc. Over time, this can yield a cause to many minor or even major disorders. Anytime someone acquires any sort of dandruff or acne it’s a signal that the body is detoxifying through our largest organ, the skin. The reason it is doing so is because the liver, kidneys and gallbladder might be backed up. When we consume foods that are unnatural, unhealthy, or simply not right for our personal bio-chemistry a number of things happen. The body has to work a bit harder to maintain homeostasis and minor or major symptoms can begin.

STEP 2: HARMONIOUS HORMONES
A hormone is a chemical messenger produced by a gland, sent through the blood to a tissue or cell, where it regulates a certain part of the body. Hormone imbalance cause disease, especially stress hormone imbalance.
COMMON HORMONE BALANCING MISTAKES:
- Relying on your primary care doctor to treat your stress. Even though stress is considered the #1 cause of disease, stress hormones are not factored into standard care because they are NO drugs and surgical treatments for stress.
- Waiting until the symptoms are severe before treating stress and hormone imbalance.
- Keeping a pace that is much too hectic and not taking the time of daily reflection and relaxation.

- Know your numbers. Stress is a silent killer. Don’t simply rely on how your feel.
- Treat your hormones throughout your entire life. Don’t wait to experience symptoms like weight gain, low energy, sleep issues. Many culture start nourishing their hormones in early childhood as part of their natural diet, cooking with herbs and consuming foods and supplements.
- Use meditation to reduce your stress and balance your hormones. The body heals and restores balance during rest and sleep.

In today’s modern day living, it is a commonplace to pop a prescription or over-the-counter medicine at the first site of an issue. If you’re head starts to ache, people are instinctively popping 2 Advil, which quickly relieves symptoms. What they don’t know is that most headaches are caused by dehydration. Simply drinking an extra liter or 2 of water through out the day could have prevented the headache from setting on in the first place. Furthermore, chugging a half gallon of water could have had the same effect as the Advil. Except with water you are further hydrating your body and aiding your system. With Advil, ibuprofen or any other sort of nSAID, you are taxing your organs and potentially burning away intestinal lining.
This is just one example of how society has shifted away from nature and towards big pharma’s ‘quick fix’ solutions.
